  • Expanding Opportunity. Empowering Youth.

"Potential is universal. Opportunity is not. Our job is to fill the gap."

— Wes Moore, Author, Speaking to Y.O.U. supporters

Youth have vastly different opportunity sets based on their income, race, culture, gender identity, and sexual orientation. These gaps in opportunity prevent many youth from realizing their fullest potential.

We utilize three strategies — Advance, Build, and Catalyze — to close this opportunity gap and prepare youth for post-secondary and life success. Across these strategies, we seek to build deep, caring relationships with youth, their families, and the community institutions around them.

Goals & Strategies

Y.O.U. by the Numbers

Y.O.U. serves over 1,600 youth and reaches over 4,000 family members each year through afterschool and summer learning programs, clinical counseling, street outreach, and family engagement. These services have a powerful, positive impact on youth’s academic, social, and emotional growth and development.

Together, we do great things.

We work with over 50 partners to ensure collective impact and enhance the depth, variety, and reach of our services. Below are just a few of the extraordinary partners that help us to realize our mission.
