Matt Wray

Matt joined the Y.O.U. Board in 2018 and serves on the Advancement Committee. 

Matt was introduced to Y.O.U. by BoardLead, which matches young professionals interested in non-profit board experience with non-profits.  BoardLead is working with 4 large companies in Chicago this year and Y.O.U. was nominated as a non-profit with a good non-profit board. 

Matt was most recently a Director in KPMG’s Accounting Advisory practice and has more than 13 years’ experience in the Public Accounting field.  Prior to moving to Chicago and joining KPMG, Matt worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and TICC Capital Corp in both Ohio and New York.

Matt also has experience as a member of the Board of Directors for Roads to Success in New York, an organization that offers educational and college access programming to at-risk youth.  His board experience focused on program development, implementation, and funding.

Matt was drawn to Y.O.U. because of his experiences with Roads to Success as well as from growing up in a community where many of his high school classmates didn’t attend college.  Matt did receive encouragement to pursue college so understands the importance of good role models and supportive environments to help youth achieve their goals.
