Fellowships, Work Study & Internships

Not looking for a full-time position?

We have a variety of part-time fellowship, internship, and work-study opportunities throughout the school year and summer for students and others who are passionate about supporting our community’s youth.

  • Work Study

    Our work-study position offers undergraduate students an opportunity to learn best-practices in youth development to prepare for a career in youth and family services, education, or nonprofit management. Work-Study fellows serve as workshop leaders and academic supports for our afterschool programs across Evanston and Niles Townships. Work-Study fellows must demonstrate proof of work-study eligibility.

  • School Year Fellowships

    Undergraduate and graduate students preparing for a career in nonprofit management, youth development, or education are invited to apply for a paid yearlong fellowship to support Y.O.U.’s administrative team. Fellowships are available in a variety of departments including HR, IT, Communications, Partnerships, and more!

  • Summer Fellowships

    Our paid Inspire Fellowship provides graduate and upper-undergraduate students with a full-time opportunity to serve as workshop leaders and counselors during Y.O.U.’s 9-week Summer Learning Program across Evanston and Niles Townships. Inspire Fellows will learn best-practices in youth development to prepare for a career in youth and family services, education, or nonprofit management. 

  • Clinical Internships

    Our clinical internship program offers students pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields the opportunity to support our clinical youth and family programs for youth throughout the school year.
