Alex serves as a Y.O.U.th Serve Member at Washington Elementary School.
Alex grew up in Berwyn, IL before attending college in Washington state where she graduated from Whitman College with a degree in English and Creative Writing. As a student she developed a passion for working with youth through volunteering and mentoring in a local elementary school, tutoring students, and sharing her passion for writing with others in the community. Excited to return to the Chicagoland area, Alex now serves as an AmeriCorps Y.O.Uth Serve Member at Washington Elementary. In her free time Alex can be found running to explore new places, cooking meals for her friends, or curled up reading her favorite books.
