Jennifer Simpson Leigh

Jennifer has worked in service to children and families for more than 25 years.

JENNIFER SIMPSON LEIGH.pngShe spent more than 20 years at the Carole Robertson Center for Learning, a community-based child, youth, and family development organization on Chicago’s west side that serves 1,000 children, from 6 weeks through 18 years, and their families each day. Jennifer served in various capacities there including Director of Resource Development, VP of External Relations, and most recently, Chief of Staff. Prior to joining Y.O.U., Jennifer served as Director of Foundation
Giving at Chicago Theological Seminary, a progressive graduate school in Hyde Park. Her past direct service experience includes teaching in early childhood classrooms, developing and implementing youth development programs, and individual and group counseling with teens and young adults.

Jennifer has a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Virginia and an A.M in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. She lives in Evanston with her two daughters. Jennifer can be found volunteering for her children’s District 65 schools, reading a good book, walking her dog, or carpooling and cheering on her children and their teammates.
