Patty serves as the Afterschool Program Manager at Oakton Elementary School.
Patty Valkanas is a graduate of Loyola University with a BS in Biology and a BA in Film Production. A lifelong Chicagoan, Patty has been involved with a number of not-for-profit organizations, including the Chicago Center for Arts and Technology and Chicago Arts Partnership in Education. Patty has worked with children from kindergarten through high school, bringing concepts and perspectives on the arts and sciences to students from all walks of life, and encouraging them to share and express their perspectives in return. In her spare time, Patty enjoys reading, movies, cooking, kickboxing, and volunteering.
