Simone Hampton

Simone Hampton serves as Y.O.U.'s Afterschool Program Manager at Dawes Elementary School.

Simone received her BA from Hampton University in 2008. She first joined the Y.O.U. team in 2009 as a Youth Development Specialist at Oakton Elementary School. After an extensive 10-month apprenticeship with Public Allies, she returned to Y.O.U. in the fall of 2011 where she served as a Y.O.U.th Serve Member. She then dually served as a Youth Development Specialist at both Oakton and Dawes Elementary Schools.

Simone is currently the Afterschool Program Manager at Dawes Elementary School, where she hopes to continue to share her experiences and skill sets learned as a youth development specialist with peers and the community. She has extensive experience and immense passion for working with youth and development and planning of high quality afterschool programming. In her spare time, Simone likes to travel, read, volunteer and spend time with family and friends.
