Yasi serves as the Afterschool Program Manager at Lincoln Junior High School.
Yasi grew up in Evanston and began her education at Dawes Elementary School, continued on at Chute Middle School, then Evanston Township High School and recently graduated from the University of Redlands in California where she earned her bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and Psychology. During her time at Redlands, Yasi enjoyed taking on the role of Peer Mentor Coordinator which aimed to support college students who needed extra assistance academically and/or socially. She also 
enrolled in an Inside Out course where she studied side by side with youth who are incarcerated. These two experiences deeply motivated Yasi to expand her understanding of social justice as it relates to the interconnected issues of education, opportunity and criminal justice. Yasi is so excited to be back in Evanston and working for an organization that she feels embodies her passion for social justice, and shares her drive and passion to empower our youth to be all that they can be. In her free time, Yasi coaches waterpolo, enjoys eating cheeseburgers, reading, taking advantage of any warm weather, and attempting to exercise.
